Mysterious Death of Dominican Man Awaiting Trial for Murder in Boston Jail

Boston, United State.- A Dominican man who was awaiting trial for the murder of a fellow countryman in 2020 died mysteriously in a Boston jail.

Ariel Toribio, 22, was accused of the murder of his co-worker in the Lawrence Department of Public Works, Marcos Antonio Ruiz Rodriguez (Tony) 52.

Michael Phelan, Toribio’s lawyer, confirmed the death of his client, who faced a life sentence.

So far, Massachusetts authorities and Toribio’s family have not disclosed the cause of death.

On January 15, 2020, Toribio saw Luis Crispín, a young man he considered an enemy, working in the Public Works crew filling potholes. Toribio believed Crispín had murdered his cousin and decided to take revenge. When he fired several rounds of bullets with a .40 caliber pistol, he struck Ruiz Rodriguez.
