Santo Domingo – President Luis Abinader issued Decrees 784-22 and 785-22, which provide for the extradition of Dominicans Brayner Gerónimo Zorrilla and David Sebastián Flaquer Núñez, who were requested by the United States.
Decree 785-22 indicates that David Sebastián Flaquer Núñez is charged with 17 criminal charges, presented on March 18, 2021 in the United States District Court for the District of the Virgin Islands.
These charges are: “Criminal association for distributing a controlled substance, to wit: 5 kilograms or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine, knowing, knowing and having reasonable cause to believe that such controlled substance would be illegally imported into the United States, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, sections 959 (a), 963 and 960 (b) (1) (B).
“Charge 2: Criminal association for importing into the United States from a place outside the United States, a controlled substance, to wit 5 kilograms or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, sections 952 (a), 963 and 960 (b) (1) (B).
“Charge 3: Criminal association for possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance, to wit, 5 kilograms or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, sections 841 (a) (1), 846 and 841 (b) (1) (A) (ii) “, says the decree authorizing his extradition.
