The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) reports that since the early hours of Thursday, there have been cloudy skies with scattered rains and possible thunderstorms in sectors of the Atlantic coast, such as Puerto Plata, Espaillat, María Trinidad Sánchez, Samaná, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, and La Altagracia. This is due to the humidity that is being brought in by the east/northeast wind, which is typical of the remnants of a frontal system. In the afternoon and early evening, precipitation will extend to some points in the southeast and the Central mountain range, particularly over La Romana, San Pedro de Macorís, San Cristóbal, Santo Domingo, Santiago, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, San José de Ocoa, San Juan, among others.
Alert Levels
The Onamet has removed the alerts that it had previously issued for possible urban flooding, river, stream and gully overflows, as well as landslides.
Temperatures
Temperatures at night and in the early morning will continue to feel pleasant, due to the time of year, winter. It is expected that the minimum temperature will fluctuate between 6°C and 12°C in mountain areas such as Constanza, Jarabacoa, Hondo Valle, Polo, among others, and could reach -2°C to 4°C in higher altitude areas such as Valle Nuevo or Pico Duarte.

In the Greater Santo Domingo, the maximum temperature will fluctuate between 29°C and 31°C, while the minimum temperature will remain between 19°C and 21°C.
