The Office for Transport Reorganization (OPRET) announced that due to the Christmas holidays to provide greater convenience to users, the Integrated Metro and Cable Car System of Santo Domingo will be available including January 2nd, declared as a non-working day by the Executive Power.
In this sense, the service schedule will be as follows:
- On December 31st, New Year’s Eve, respectively, the metro and cable car will operate from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- On January 1st, New Year’s Day, the metro and cable car will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- On the holiday of January 2nd, a non-working day decreed by the Executive Power, the metro will provide its services from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., while the cable car will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
OPRET indicated that the transport service and all its personnel will be functioning as usual until the established hours in order to provide the usual safety and efficiency.
Finally, the institution called on the population to act with prudence and moderation during these dates.
