Santo Domingo.- National Police agents were instructed this Saturday to ensure public order as they join the second phase of the “Christmas with Moderation and Responsibility 2022” operation.
On the plaza of the Police Palace, Inspector General Pedro Eugenio Cordero Ubrí exhorted a part of the administrative staff that will join the prevention efforts on December 31, 2022 and January 1, 2023 to “go out on the street” to protect public and private property against those who violate the rules.
He was accompanied by Generals Máximo de Oleo Ramírez and Claudio González Moquete, directors of Human Resources and Prevention of the law enforcement institution, respectively.
The National Police General Directorate, under the command of Major General Eduardo Alberto Then, has increased preventive patrols throughout the country in order to ensure peaceful and orderly end-of-year celebrations.
For this purpose, police personnel assigned to the various administrative areas, with the support of members of the Armed Forces, will be on the streets safeguarding the lives and property of citizens on the various streets and avenues of Greater Santo Domingo and throughout the country.
“For tomorrow, December 31, when the family will be celebrating the arrival of 2023, all preventive services at the national level have been redoubled, as we will be counting on the significant integration of members of the Armed Forces, as well as administrative personnel from this institution and from the different specialized areas,” said Colonel Diego Pesqueira, director of Strategic Communications of the National Police.
