National Health Service SNS Prepares for New Year’s with Increased Measures and Staffing

SANTO DOMINGO. – The National Health Service (SNS) announced that all its health centers are prepared and the hospital emergency committees will remain active to respond to the population during New Year.

The director of the SNS, Mario Lama, explained that among the measures adopted by the institution is the supply of medications and supplies, reinforcement of Hospital Security, reorganization of human resources to increase personnel in Emergencies and the enabling of expansion areas in the event of a possible increase in patients.

Lama emphasized the importance of the supervision of the directors and deputy directors of hospitals in accompaniment to the healthcare personnel under their charge, during these days.

The head of the SNS called on the population to act sensibly, respect traffic laws and remain vigilant to ensure that minors do not consume alcohol.

He wished all Dominicans to bid farewell to the year with prudence and welcome 2023 with the joy and hope that “we will continue to give our best to together continue changing the healthcare system”.
