NEW YORK, USA – Jesús Segura arrived at the Punta Cana airport on time, located in the east of the Dominican Republic, to take a flight to New York City.
Upon landing in North America, Segura found a prize at John F. Kennedy International Airport: a bundle of bills with $30,000.
The young Dominican, without thinking twice, returned it to the airline crew. Its equivalent in Dominican pesos is at least RD $1,701,900.00.
Rafael Segura Novas (Rafelito Casita) and Ivelisse Espinosa, said with the satisfaction of the duty fulfilled in the training of their son, that his offspring found the money when disembarking from the plane that, apparently, was left to some passenger.
The young, engineering-trained, traveled to the United States to express condolences.
“As a father, I feel proud of the action taken by my son, that proves to me that I sowed moral values, honesty, and an education based on transparency, honesty and good customs, that has not been in vain,” wrote the father, proud of his son, on his Facebook account.
